5. Will there be costs related to the training in addition to what I pay to register?

There are some things that will be necessary for training that will cost money. Small items include a journal, a notebook for containing training materials, etc. You will also be responsible for acquiring the required texts (a book list will be provided) and for covering the cost of food during the training weekends. All accepted trainees will receive 10% off teacher training texts purchased at The Glowing Body.
6. If I am not local to Knoxville, may I take the training?
Yes! Traveling to a training can be a great way to expand your practice. Additionally, it is likely that fellow students will be willing to house you for the weekend. If you need information about lodging, please contact us.
7. When will I know if I’ve been accepted?
We accept applications through the designated application deadline, and then evaluate the number of applicants, readiness of potential trainees, and other factors to determine admission. Our goal is to include all individuals who are committed to deepening their knowledge and practice of yoga – however there are restrictions on space and resources, therefore it is possible we will not be able to accommodate all applicants. Once admission has been determined, we will mail you a letter of acceptance, a book list, and any other suggested material lists. This should occur within two weeks of the application deadline.
8. What happens if I am not admitted to the training I apply for?
There are two options. Our hope is that you will consider allowing your deposit to “roll over” to the next available training – either the Integrative beginning in September, or the Intensive the following May. If this option is not desirable to you we can return the refundable $200 of your deposit.
9. When will I know what books I need for training?
A confirmatory email will be sent to you once we’ve received any portion of your application package. In that email, we will inform you of the first book required for training. For the 2011 Integrative training, it is Donna Farhi’s Bringing Yoga to Life. When you receive your acceptance packet, we will include a book list for the training. All accepted trainees will receive 10% off teacher training texts purchased at The Glowing Body.
