zafu_seated_med_sideviewEstablish roots in simple yet powerful meditation practices under the guidance of an expert teacher.

Mindfulness is the acceptance of our experience without judgment. In the absence of judgment, we can see ourselves, others, and experiences more clearly. As a result, we can find well-being in our daily life. From a position of greater mindfulness, we can build compassion for ourselves and others.
Although these meditation practices come from Buddhist traditions, they are secular in nature so this course is appropriate for people of any, or no, spiritual tradition.

John has designed this course for beginners but anyone wanting to refresh their understanding is welcome. Each class combines lecture, discussion, as well as time for practice and questions. Due to the progressive nature of class, attending the first class is imperative. If you cannot attend the first session, please wait and attend the next time this series is offered. John will provide suggested reading material prior to the start of the series. Please register early so you have time to review this material.

This is a donation based series with a suggested donation amount of $60.
