Establish roots in simple yet powerful meditation practices under the guidance of an expert teacher.meditation cushions

Mindfulness is the acceptance of our experience without judgment. In the absence of judgment, we can see ourselves, others, and experiences more clearly. As a result, we can find well-being in our daily life. From a position of greater mindfulness, we can build compassion for ourselves and others.

John has designed this course for beginners but anyone wanting to refresh their understanding is welcome. Each class combines lecture, discussion, as well as time for practice and questions. Although these meditation practices come from Buddhist traditions, they are secular in nature so this course is appropriate for people of any, or no, spiritual tradition.

John will provide suggested reading material prior to the start of the series. Please register early so you have time to review this material.

Class is limited to 15 students.
Drop-ins will not be accepted after the first class.

Class will meet on Wednesdays, September 3rd, 10th, 24th and October 1st from
6:00pm – 7:30pm.
