Heartfelt Hatha with Andrea Cartwright

In this 4 week series, you will practice yoga postures with an intention to slow the breath so you have the opportunity to experience meditation in motion. This experience of stillness in motion allows you to recruit more than just the large habitual motion patterns in movement. When you experience movement in this way, you open connections in your body. This heightened awareness can help you open your heart which leads to greater self acceptance and compassion for others. With a joyful heart one can embrace sorrow and worry and invite a positive view.
Andrea will draw from her training in many styles of Hatha Yoga and her 43 years of experience. All levels may benefit from practicing in this way. There will be a focus on asana with the intention to bring awareness to the smaller muscles and unused movement patterns in the musculoskeletal system, the recruitment of the myofascial system, and integration of the whole body to alter habitual movement patterns.
$60 per student
