Liberating the Heart with John Blackburn

February 9, 2016 @ 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)
Tuesdays, February 9th-March 1st, 6:00-7:30pm

loveThe Buddha taught that liberation of the heart comes from the practice of Metta (Loving Kindness) meditation.

Metta transforms the way we relate to ourself, to others and to reality. It dissolves habit patterns that prevent us from living and loving in a wholehearted way. As these habits dissolve, the heart’s natural health and wisdom begin to emerge in relationships.

Metta is one of four inter-related practices for healing the heart and mind. As each week takes us progressively deeper into the experience of Metta, we will also be learning how to practice Mudita (Joy), Karuna (Compassion) and Upekka (Equanimity).

Please note that drop-ins will not be accepted after the first class.

This is a donation based series, however there is a suggested donation of $60. This is a suggested donation and participants are free to give more or less, depending on their circumstances.
