No experience with Thai Yoga Massage required. Perfect for yoga teachers hoping to improve their hands on skills with students.

Introduction to Thai yoga Massage will lay the foundation of full body Thai massage treatment.  We will observe each of the positions: face-up (supine), face-down (prone), side-lying, and seated.  This course explores the nature of Thai Yoga Massage through Thai History, Theory and the Elements.

We will also observe foundational principals that are beneficial for body mechanics and yoga elements of Thai massage. Everyone Welcome!

Tennessee Law & Ethics with Kelly Hughs

A 2-hour Law course on the current Rules and Regulations according to the Tennessee Licensure Board.
 

Tennessee Ethics for Licensed Massage Therapists

This 2-hour course provides a code of ethics to be followed by the Licensed Massage Therapist. These recommendations are based on standards and guidelines that protect the public as well as the Massage Therapist.

This is an innovative class incorporating Thai yoga for therapists working on the massage table.  Content will include a full body Thai yoga treatment, safe effective stretching techniques, and improved body mechanics for practitioners.  We will also observe foundational principals of yoga elements applied in Thai massage. This course is perfect for the traditionally trained therapist looking to refresh and deepen their work with less strain on your hands and wrists.

Thai Massage for Low Back Conditions with Kelly Scott

Many clients have symptoms related to lower back pain. This area of the Central channel is an important meeting point of different structures and systems: musculo-skeletal, visceral, nervous, fascia and energetic. They all converge to serve the numerous levels of human functions.

During this course, we will focus on the spine and lower back in order to improve vertebrae mobility, restore vitality and bring fluidity of movement back to the body. We will use dynamic and static techniques coming from Thai massage and OsteoThai. Everyone Welcome!

Abdominal Thai Yoga Massage Techniques with Kelly Scott

A very delicate touch is needed to manipulate the belly to facilitate detoxification during the practice of traditional Thai Massage.  The belly is described as  “The Center of the Universe”, and by freeing the structures of the belly, we also free the function of our organs and digestive system.  This course highlights the organs, ligaments of the belly, and connective tissue.  This course includes techniques especially helpful for those with digestive disorders, low back conditions, sacroiliac joint pain and shoulder pain.

In this course we will observe the connection of the muscular, fascia and structural parts of the head, neck and shoulders. The cervical spine (neck) is an important path for the nervous system and blood circulation. Tension in this area creates numerous problems in our breathing and digestive systems.

This course we will discuss a therapeutic approach with a focus on the rib cage, breathing techniques, mobilization of the joints, and cerebral spinal fluid with integration of the spine. Everyone Welcome!

Side-Lying and Herbal Compression with Kelly Scott

December 12-13, 2020

Side-lying techniques may be used for clients who are not comfortable lying on their front due to reasons, such as pregnancy, obesity, sinus pressure, or large breasts. You can utilize this in addition to your classic routine for longer sessions in excess of 90 minutes-2 hour sessions. This is a deeply therapeutic massage technique.

We will study and practice a sequence in the side lying position infused with traditional herbal compression technique.
