You can know the most amazing techniques, but what really defines how good your massage will be is your touch. If your touch is one of listening, it is out of softness ~ filled with Metta. We will cultivate metta through the study of Thai yoga massage and daily yoga and meditation practices. Love is the universal medicine.
David and Kelly first met in Knoxville, after a Thai massage trade, they realized how much they had in common, from their own individual style of bodywork, the teachers they followed, and from traveling to Thailand for training. After running into each other in Thailand, they discovered how well their energy was synchronized. David had plans for teaching a workshop in Thailand at OM Waters when he invited Kelly to join as co-teacher, once again, they noticed how well they balanced each other. The discussion to teach together in an “immersion setting” had been on the table ever since, and the natural course fell into place to combine their passion and talents for Thai Massage, and their spiritual and physical practice. This brings us to the present time of announcing the Thai Yoga retreat – Metta in Mexico!

The Marietas Islands were originally formed many thousands of years ago by volcanic activity and are completely uninhabited. In the late 1960s, the government eventually decided to declare the islands a national park and therefore protected against any fishing, hunting, or human activity.
Protection by the government has created an environment conducive to the development of the marine ecosystem and is a popular location for snorkeling and scuba diving. During whale watching tours, people often report seeing sea turtles, manta rays, octopuses, wild dolphins, humpback whales, and thousands of species of tropical fish around the islands. The islands are also home to a few thousand birds, with species such as the blue-footed booby.
