This 4 week beginner series will introduce students to the Ashtanga Vinyasa method of yoga. Over the course of 4 weeks, students will learn the postures, breath technique, and gaze points that will help them cultivate a personal Ashtanga practice. Students will also learn the opening and closing chants, the history of the Ashtanga method, as well as basic safety and alignment principles.
Ashtanga Vinyasa practice structure is known for being physically and mentally disciplined, and is often well loved by active people. The classroom is warmed, and the same series is repeated every practice, so you don’t have to guess what is next, and you can monitor your progress easily.
